Timeless Christian Rap Music Is Scootie Wops’ Claim To Fame

Gaelika Brown

In this episode I interview Scootie Wop who shares his Christian testimony and gives a inside look into the Christian Hip Hop industry from a producer and rapper’s point of view.

Scootie Wop shares his journey starting out creating secular music, which is music that is not gospel music or praise music that specifically glorifies Christ Jesus.

Music came natural for Scootie Wop as he started producing music for secular rappers like Moneybagg Yo, and Shy Glizzy, before he started rapping.

He talks about an event that almost took his life where he was involved in a car accident while high on Xanax, and following this accident unscarred he made it a priority to seek Christ first.

Once he got saved, meaning you admit that you are a sinner, asking Jesus to take control of your life, and go on following him, his music career started to take off.

Even though his music gained momentum, he still struggled to grow his fan base and push his music out there in the Christian Hip Hop industry.

During the COVID Pandemic, his Christian rap music career exploded rapidly as he started to gain traction in the industry working with Miles Minnick, Rockstar JT. and Hulvey.

Every connection, event, and music collaboration started to grow fast and the artist Scootie Wop attest to the fact that, “God's favor has being over my life heavy.”

Additionally, he breaks down "Slide Music 2" featuring TeeJay, BigBreeze, "4Dom Intro", "Role Models", and "Crash Test” in the 4-song-breakdown.
